“The transformation of the room is amazing,” North Olmsted police Capt. Eric Morgan said. “From the artwork to the carpet, it’s a completely different environment. “Now we’re getting to that point where we want to represent the victim,” he said. “Det. Margery Jones had the opportunity to use it the other day.
The idea for the soft interview room was suggested by the police captain, who contacted advocacy groupThe operation boasts a mission statement to educate, advocate, collaborate and change the conversation about sexual assault and empower survivors to find their voices.
