A Northbrook man was killed, four people hospitalized and one driver escaped injury in a six-vehicle crash with the cause under investigation Saturday at West Lake and Milwaukee Avenues in Glenview, according to a news release from the Glenview Police Department.
Young Park, 73, of Northbrook was pronounced dead after he was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with another crash victim who was listed in stable condition Saturday night, according to the release.
Glenview paramedics also transported three people to NorthShore University HealthSystem Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview Saturday who were also listed in stable condition, according to the release. The roadway was closed for a period of time Saturday but was reopened by 7:30 p.m., according to the release.The crash remains under investigation by the Glenview Police Department with assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force’s Major crash assistance team, according to the release. A preliminary investigation determined six vehicles were involved.
