Noruega, miembro de la OTAN, donará aviones de combate F-16 a Ucrania, informó el jueves el primer ministro noruego Jonas Gahr Støre en medio de una difícil contraofensiva de Kiev contra Rusia.
En declaraciones a la agencia de noticias noruega NTB en Kiev, a donde acudió con motivo del Día de la Independencia de Ucrania, Gahr Støre dijo que Noruega proporcionará aviones F-16 a Ucrania, pero probablemente serán menos de 10.
Ucrania ha pedido desde hace mucho tiempo que los sofisticados aviones le brinden una ventaja en el combate. Recientemente lanzó una contraofensiva largamente esperada contra las fuerzas del Kremlin sin cobertura aérea, dejando a sus tropas a merced de la aviación y la artillería rusas.
