The mayor of New York City is in Puebla, Mexico, thanking migrants for their contributions to his city, but telling them it is already full.

“We are neighbors. We are familia. Mi casa es su casa. Your struggles are my struggles,” Adams said inside the legislative chamber shortly after the state governor dubbed him"Mayor of Puebla York.”Speaking to reporters immediately afterwards, however, the mayor was more direct. Adams said the current crisis has been partly caused by what he called Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's"inhumane" decision last April to“These are human beings that have traveled in very dangerous terrains. And what he’s doing is exploiting this for political reasons,” said Adams.

After sharing warm words with Puebla's politicians, Adams was more frank with the press, saying simply there is no more room. Over 120,000 migrants have arrived in New York City in the last year. It's a crisis, Adams said last month, that threatens to 'destroy New York City.'
