OAKLAND — An unidentified person died after being hit by an Amtrak Capitol Corridor train Thursday morning, authorities said.
Oakland Fire Department firefighters joined other agencies including Oakland and Union Pacific police at the scene, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene, a fire department spokesman said.
