Oakland: Man arrested and charged with murder in July homicide

Police arrested an Oakland homicide suspect in Fremont this month, court records show.

OAKLAND — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a July fatal shooting in Oakland, court records show.

Ward was shot and killed July 24, on the 1600 block of 23rd Avenue just north of Foothill Boulevard. He was found in the street about 9:30 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the crime scene.
