Vera Hampton, 67, of Antioch, and Derrick Shaw, 64, of Richmond, were killed when a man with eight prior felonies crashed a stolen Lexus into their Lexus on Sept. 24, authorities said.

OAKLAND — A city resident who allegedly crashed a stolen Lexus into two other vehicles, killing a man and woman in their 60s, has been charged with six felonies, court records show.

The crash occurred on the morning of Sept. 24, in Oakland city streets. Vera Hampton, 67, of Antioch, and Derrick Shaw, 64, of Richmond, were driving together in a Lexus. When they got to the intersection of 73rd Avenue and Holly Street,A third vehicle was also damaged in the collision, and a person inside suffered a broken bone, according to court records.
