OAKLAND — The passenger of a Honda died early Saturday morning after the vehicle crashed into a BMW that had come to a stop on the westbound lanes of Interstate 80, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 2:22 a.m. on I-80 near the MacArthur Maze interchange that transitions the highway into I-580 and I-880, east of the Bay Bridge in Oakland. The driver of the Honda was taken to a local trauma center with critical injuries, while all other people involved in the crash suffered moderate injuries, Arias said.
