The Oakland Police Department on Friday said they arrested a “person of interest” following the death of a popular member of the gay men's chorus.

The Oakland Police Department on Friday said they arrested a "person of interest" following the death of a popular member of the gay men's chorus.Curtis Marsh was fatally stabbed on Saturday in the 200 block of Vernon Street near Lake Merritt. Neighbors said the person who killed Marsh also set a fire by the entrance to the apartment and left the front door and gate open when running from the scene.

Longtime friend DeeDee Twine said she and Marsh had known each other since the 6th grade.
