University School of Milwaukee acknowleges that the boys — in third and fifth grades at the time — had no academic or behavioral problems.
A Milwaukee private school is being sued by Craig Robinson — Michelle Obama’s brother — and his wife after their children were kicked out.
The suit filed Monday in Milwaukee Circuit Court by Craig and Kelly Robinson says the action occurred after they “raised concerns about USM’s treatment of its students of color and submitted bias incident reports on behalf of underrepresented students.” The Robinson boys had been students at USM since 2016, when their father took a position with the Bucks basketball team. Their suit says the school’s stated commitment to a “‘supportive, inclusive’ learning environment” was a significant factor in the selection. The day school has tuition of about $30,000 a year.
