BREAKING - An officer-involved shooting has occurred near Seattle's Central District
SEATTLE — Seattle police said an officer-involved shooting has occurred near the Central District Friday morning.
The shooting happened near 14th Avenue and East Yesler Way at about 5 a.m., not far from Bailey Gatzert Elementary School.There was large police presence and an armored vehicle outside the Sorento apartments, but as of 6:30 a.m., the armored vehicle had left and the response was starting to dissipate.Police said more details would be provided as they become available.
Police activity blocking all lanes EB & WB on E Yesler Way from 12th Ave S - 17th Ave S. Use alternate routes.
