UPDATE: One suspect has been taken into custody after a police standoff with a man suffering from mental health who fired at Officers.
JSO says the caller informed how the suspect was armed and wanted to get into a shootout with police in order to kill himself.
When arriving at the scene the suspect fired five rounds from a handgun at Officers whenever they got close to the home. No Officers were hit. The subject then ran inside the house, communicating on the phone with the Officers that there were 2 other people inside with him.The drone Officer was used to view the suspect inside and when he approached the door. Officers fired two times at the door. The suspect was not struck.After a short period of time, the suspect went outside without any weapon to be taken into custody and is being questioned.is on scene of an officer-involved incident in the area of Edgewood Ave. and Moncrief Rd.
