Normal mode has a 60:40 split, while Sport mode sends 70% of the power rearward to “prioritize rear-wheel drive characteristics.” Track mode, on the other hand, splits things 50:50 and is billed as “suitable for fast driving in any road conditions.”as the two models are also expected to share a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine.
However, Toyota has already shown the engine is capable of producing more power as the limited editioncranked out 268 hp and 287 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of what the GR Corolla is rated at, it should be significantly more powerful than the standard model which has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder developing 168 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque.
