Ryan McConnell, 31, also must undergo 10 years of supervision after he’s released from prison, according to the attorney’s office. McConnell had faced a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison after he was arrested in December 2020. Court documents show FBI agents in El Paso, Texas, went undercover on Kik messenger and became aware of McConnell in a group called “Toddlers.” Authorities say members in the group were sharing hundreds of videos and photos of child rape. McConnell’s cellphone contained photos of young boys, some in diapers, being sexually assaulted, records show.
