This week’s total was the highest for a seven-day period since mid-February, but case totals in January reached nearly 200,000 a week.Ohio’s death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 38,590, up 40 since the last report.

A total of 7,327,581 Ohioans have received at least one vaccination, representing about 66.6% of Ohioans age 5 and up. Since the beginning of 2021, there have been 23,700 deaths among people reported as unvaccinated, and 1,269 among people reported to be fully vaccinated. And there have been 67,627 hospitalized Ohioans who were not fully vaccinated, and 4,629 fully vaccinated people hospitalized.The total cases being reported recently likely are understated, as some people do not report at-home tests and others may not be testing at all.* Total reported hospitalizations: 116,307, up 473.
