Ohio State guard Jacy Sheldon receives second-team AP All-American honors for her performances in the 2023-24 regular season.
On Wednesday, Sheldon received second-team All-American honors from the Associated Press, along with Angel Reese , Kamilla Cardoso and Madison Booker . The award comes two weeks after Sheldon earned All-Big Ten first team and All-Big Ten defensive team accolades for her performances in 2023-24.Sheldon scored 18.2 points per game in the regular season, the third-best average in the Big Ten behind Caitlin Clark and Mackenzie Holmes . She also collected 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.
A Dublin, Ohio, native, Sheldon has been at Ohio State for five seasons. Sheldon ranks eighth all-time with 1,992 career points for the Buckeyes and appears in the top 14 in nine additional categories. She is one of three players in Ohio State history with 1,900 points, 400 rebounds, 350 assists, 200 steals and 150 made 3-pointers.
In addition to Sheldon's second-team honor, Cotie McMahon earned an honorable mention All-American accolade from the Associated Press. McMahon averaged 14.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game for the Buckeyes in the regular season.
