Ohio State point guard Bruce Thornton is a third-team All-Big Ten selection by the media while Jamison Battle scooped up an honorable mention.
Bruce Thornton was named third-team All-Big Ten by the conference's media on Tuesday, the lone Buckeye to make either the first-, second- or third-team list. Thornton was an honorable mention per the league's coaches.
Thornton has been the Buckeyes' leading scorer and offensive maestro throughout the season, collecting a team-high 16.1 points and 4.3 assists per game. He's done so with just 1.2 turnovers per game, more than tripling his giveaways with dimes. Battle transferred into Ohio State from Minnesota this offseason and has been the Big Ten's best 3-point shooter, hitting a conference-best 44% of his threes with 81 makes from distance, the second-most in the league.
