Organisation of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemns the Quran burning in Sweden, urges global action to prevent such acts, and calls for immediate implementation of “Plan of Action for Combating Islamophobia”
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation called for the implementation of the "Plan of Action for Combating Islamophobia" and a review of diplomatic ties with countries allowing desecrations such as burning the holy book of Islam, the Quran.Disrespectful act towards Quran draws widespread condemnation from the Islamic world / Photo: AFP.
The statement came during an extraordinary session of the OIC’s executive committee in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday to discuss the consequences of the desecration.
