A woman in northwest Florida is accused of snatching a little girl from her mother, then locking herself and the child inside her Billfish Avenue apartment.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, 52-year-old Kim Keeling of Okaloosa Island kidnapped the 2-year-old around 11:20 a.m. Friday. They said the child’s mother broke a window trying to get inside the apartment. Shortly afterward, a deputy showed up and ordered Keeling to turn over the child. When she ignored the commands, the deputy climbed through the broken window and found Keeling holding the toddler and a rolling pin, the OCSO said. The deputy was able to arrest her quickly.
