The singer said that her interview from earlier this week, in which she said Davidson ended things with her via text, were taken “out of context.”
“news outlets are taking things i said in an interview wayyy [sic] out of context,” she wrote in an Instagram Story on Friday. “i never claimed to date anyone. stop trying to start weird drama over me texting someone 2 years ago. jesus christ.”
The singer, 28, followed it up with a second Instagram Story, where she flipped off the camera, urging people to “watch the f–king interview or shut your god damn mouth.”Davidson’s rep told Page Six on Wednesday, “O’Brien shared a message on her Instagram Story, saying she never “claimed to date” Davidson.
O’Brien told Portnoy that she didn’t think “anyone knew about that,” saying that it happened “a long time ago.” Despite the alleged breakup, she still thought he was a “nice guy.”Davidson had also shut down O’Brien’s claims that they had dated two years ago.
