Horrifying footage from the scene shows orange flames and billowing black smoke on the bridge between Groton and New London. The damage spread to the buildings nearby as first responders struggled to contain the fire. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. when a fuel tanker collided with another vehicle and rolled over,The driver of the tanker was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two passengers in the other car were transported to the hospital.First responders closed I-95 during the initial clean-up, the outlet said.
