Octaviano Juarez-Corro allegedly shot and killed two people and wounded three others during a picnic in Milwaukee.
's most wanted fugitives, who is accused of double homicides and multiple attempted homicides, was apprehended in Mexico on Thursday.
Hundreds were gathered in Milwaukee's South Shore Park for a Memorial Day picnic when Juarez-Corro arrived. Juarez-Corro and his wife—who was at the park—"were reported to be in the final stages of their divorce," the FBI wrote in a statement released on Friday. "The FBI has a long reach and extraordinary law enforcement partnerships across the globe. I commend the tireless efforts of all our partners from Milwaukee to Mexico in closely coordinating with the FBI in capturing this wanted fugitive and helping to bring this violent offender to justice, as well as closure to the victims and their families," Hensle added.
