A single-family home that’s been in the Rainy Street District for years is on sale for $10 million. It’s one of the last remnants of an era when working-class Mexican American families dominated the area in the 1960s.

AUSTIN, Texas — A Zillow listing that shows the River Street home in the Rainy Street District for sale at $10 million.

The 1945 bungalow is located at 701 River Street, which is right at the core of the entertainment district. So, it gives reason to why the asking price is at $10 million. Also of note is that the home resides at one of the district’s most prominent intersections, according toWith the home being in an ideal section of the district, it has caught the eye of many real estate agents and developers that see its potential.

Zillow described the property as a “huge opportunity” to own, further referring to it as a “unique investment opportunity.” It’s also near Lady Bird Lake, high-end hotels and live music.
