One-off Ferrari Breadvan crashes at Le Mans Classic.
Video from the event published by Motorsport TV shows the direct aftermath of the crash, where we see the car lose control, clip a tire wall, and slide backwards into a barrier. The car briefly takes flight before crashing down, damaging suspension components. The driver remained alert and quickly exits the car after it comes to a stop, hopping over the barrier to safety.
Though this wreck is a tragedy for the collector community, it's not exactly surprising or uncommon. Historic racing drivers in Europe often put everything on the line for a chance at victory, pushing these priceless works of art to their limits at places such as Le Mans Classic and Goodwood.
