Cooper SE convertible EV just made its world debut in The Sunshine State—and we have questions. Mini brought the Cooper SE to Miami as part of its"Mini Takes the States" promotional event. It is the first time ever that a Mini Cooper SE electric vehicle has been presented as a convertible, and it was the center piece of this event.chassis with a 135 kw/184 hp Mini Cooper SE EV drivetrain.
We reached out to Mini directly to ask directly what the purpose of this custom model is and an EV convertible is in the works.In regards to the purpose of the one-off, a representative from Mini explained that"it's a feeler." They went on to explain that the Mini Cooper SE convertible was a"skunkworks" project to"gain interest." The BMW Group is no stranger to doing things like this, so in that context this doesn't seem very shocking at all.
