Two Injured in Shooting at Encino Home
One person was shot to death and another injured during a home invasion in Encino Wednesday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were sent about 5:25 p.m. to the home in the 4500 block of Densmore Avenue, near the San Diego Freeway, on reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to a department statement. Police discovered one victim was shot and another was assaulted by a suspect who had entered the home. The gunshot victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim would be identified after relatives are notified. The other victim was treated at the scene.
The suspect fled following the shooting. The suspect's motive for entering the home was not immediately known. A suspect description was not immediately available.
