Opinion: San Diego's bus strike a bad look for mass transit fans [Opinion]
In the future, perhaps with artificial intelligence, public transportation will be as reliable as the old gas guzzler, but obviously not now.Same situation as the trash truck drivers that caused the city of Chula Vista to have a health crisis when trash was not picked up for a month.
Deferring city services to contractors may be for the reason of economics but it sure leaves citizens in a pickle when labor negotiations go south. My suggested solution? Bring these critical day-to-day services under the employ of the cities they serve.
