Holland, 38, is a real estate broker and previously served on the Heath City Council for five years before being elected to the state Legislature in 2016. A fiscal and social conservative, Holland has been a reliable vote for the GOP majority in Austin. But he also drew our attention as a freshman when he authored several bills that made it to the governor’s desk.
