In mid-April, United States Customs and Border Protection officers in Cincinnati seized a large shipment of counterfeit championship rings. In total, they found 345 rings. The rings were discovered when officers at the Port of Cincinnati were inspecting a freight from Asia. Overall, the rings represented 18 different sports teams, including the New York Yankees, Pittsburg Steelers, New England Patriots, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the New Jersey Devils.
