An incoming windstorm has started to take power offline for thousands of customers throughout Western Washington on Tuesday.
A Wind Advisory has been issued in the following areas: San Juan County, western Whatcom County, western Skagit County, Everett and vicinity, including the cities of Friday Harbor, Bellingham, Mount Vernon, Anacortes, Sedro-Woolley, Burlington, Everett, Edmonds, Lynnwood, and Marysville until 1 a.m. Wednesday. Winds at this speed could cause power outages, blow down large trees or debris, or difficulty driving.Along the north and central coast, a High Wind Warning is in effect through 10 p.m.
The strongest winds along the coast will arrive later Tuesday afternoon moving closer to the interior by this evening. Tonight, the strong winds will last longer in duration in comparison to last night which increases only increases the chance of downed powerlines/trees heading into Wednesday morning.
