Between May 23 and Sept. 8 in Ohio, 65 kilograms of fentanyl powder and 87,000 fentanyl-laced pills were seized. That's enough fentanyl to provide 4.7 million deadly dosages, the DEA says.

CLEVELAND — The Drug Enforcement Administration seized more than four million deadly dosages of fentanyl during an enforcement operation that resulted in seizures across Ohio, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that the DEA says is 50 times more potent than heroin. Two milligrams of fentanyl — an amount that could fit on the tip of a pencil — is considered a potentially lethal dose. -Two men pleading guilty for their roles in an incident that involved an ATV fitted to conceal 2.2 kilograms of pressed fentanyl pills being transported out of state from Copley, Ohio in August 2021.
