Moscow has threatened further missile attacks on Kyiv as Ukrainian authorities said the bodies of hundreds of civilians have been discovered outside the capital.

It comes as Ukrainian authorities described the aftermath of a Russian retreat from around the capital.

"We understand that under the [Russian] occupation, people were simply executed in the streets," Nebytov said on Friday, according to the Associated Press. Nebytov said that more than 350 bodies had been found under the rubble of Bucha, the Kyiv suburb which is the scene of a war crime investigation.y has accused Russian troops in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions in the south of targeting civilians or those who served in Ukraine's military or government.

Ukraine said that Russia was also focusing its efforts on establishing full control of the city of Mariupol in the south and attacking Kharkiv in the northeast.
