Federal health regulators outlined plans Friday that will allow overseas baby-formula makers to continue selling their products in the U.S. long term following aOverseas makers of baby formula must send a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by Dec.

5 stating their intent to continue formula sales and that they will complete all regulatory requirements, according to guidance issued by the agency. The FDA will evaluate requests before deciding by Jan. 6, 2023, whether to allow global baby-formula makers to stay in the U.S. market.
