A man who threw cement bricks and threatened to use a blow torch on law enforcement trying to arrest him on Tuesday is in critical condition after he was shot during the exchange, prosecutors said. The man, who has not been identified by officials, is currently under guard at an area hospital, Lancaster District Attorney’s Office spokesman Sean McBryan said.
DA Heather Adams will decide if the use of force by authorities was justified, McBryan said. As of Tuesday night, the man is considered a suspect but no charges have been filed.in the 1400 block of Union Grove Road in East Early township, prosecutors said. The man was wanted on charges of burglary, resisting arrest, stalking, simple assault, criminal trespass, intimidation of a witness/victim and terroristic threats.
Members of the task force tried to subdue the man with a stun gun and other “less-lethal measures,” McBryan said. The man was in a vehicle driving toward a task force member when he was shot. Multiple shots were fired, but it was unclear how many hit the man.Read more on PennLive:
