Curry’s letter explained to the neighbors that they made Mellow’s life “so much richer than any rescue dog could have hoped for.”Photos show folks greeting Mellow on that final walk, giving him those head pats and belly rubs and plenty of love. KJ Warunek,said “there were groups of people at every corner of his route, waiting on him. His daddy didn’t want to make it a huge thing, but we kind of did.”“It was a pleasure meeting the brave boy!” she wrote.
But, in the end, he said Mellow was “the perfect dog,” and he was glad to let him have that one final, and very special, moment.
