The Lancaster County woman said she knew who her mother would have voted for and decided to fill out her mother's ballot after she died.

60-year-old Cheryl Mihaliak, a Lancaster City resident, is charged with forgery and forgery of a ballot, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said. When Mihaliak requested her and her mother’s mail-in ballots for the Democratic primary, her mother was still alive, officials said. Mihaliak told investigators she knew who her mother was going to vote so she decided to cast her vote posthumously.
