Padres hopeful Fernando Tatis Jr. could be back in majors in three to four weeks, but will watch wrist closely as he moves stage to stage

The wait is over. After meeting with doctors earlier this week in Arizona and waiting for the discussion to play out, Fernando Tatis Jr. has been cleared to begin a swing progression.“Not good, not fun,” Tatis said of how he’s managed the waiting game. “You find a way to manage to get here to be in a good spot, to be in a good spot mentally and physically.”

“We’ve got a plan mapped out for the next three to four weeks, kind of what that looks like,” Padres President of Baseball Operations A.J. Preller said. “It will honestly be a week-to-week thing get back together, see how he’s doing, how he’s progressing. See if we move the timetable forward. See if we move it back a little bit, but overall we’ve got what we think this is going to look like over the next month and we’ll see how things go.

Myers was 4-for-11 with a homer, a double, a walk and two strikeouts in his first three games at Lake Elsinore.
