Robinson Cano is starting a second consecutive game at DH for the Padres; Mike Clevinger to start for Padres as Zach Eflin comes off COVID-19 list to start for Phillies

Cano will bat seventh in starting consecutive games for the first time since April 22-23 for the Mets in Arizona.Including his first five at-bats with the Padres, Cano is hitting .174/.208/.239 with one homer, two walks and 12 strikeouts in his first 48 plate appearances following last year’s season-long PED suspension.Cano has 10 career plate appearances against Phillies right-hander Zach Eflin and has a homer and three singles in those matchups.game. He is hitting .194/.256/.

Ha-seong Kim is also back in the two-hole after going 2-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI in that spot Sunday in a lineup without Machado. He was 0-for-10 with two walks and three strikeouts hitting in front of Machado in a previous three-game stint batting second.
