The Examiner looked at 311 reports of encampments — which is just one type of report Farrell would prioritize — made within the last year within 1,000 feet of a school. The length of a block can vary depending on the neighborhood in which a school resides, and The Examiner excluded private schools from its analysis.
“Most of these complaints are smaller issues that can be and are managed quickly,” said Jeff Cretan, a spokesperson for the mayor. “HSOC is out every day proactively addressing larger encampments and continuing to respond to concerns around encampments.” “If someone calls 311 about harmful or illegal activity within an encampment , the call would be transferred to non-emergency police,” SF311 said.Colleagues said that Glide Memorial Church co-founder Rev. “We want to be a wholesome community of people who really stood up and said we want to change the world because we want to make sure the world is a better place for everybody,” hesaid that his relationship with Williams spanned nearly 50 years. The two first met in 1976 when Brown came to San Francisco to become senior pastor of the historic Third Baptist Church, he said.
