Blue and white Oktoberfest banners decorated Park Ridge’s Hodges Park Saturday, though the lively German-themed event bore the name Trucktoberfest. Food and beer trucks, including some offering Oktoberfest beers, lined Courtland Avenue. The event offered plenty of activities for families, with pretzels figuring in a big way. Kids could make a necklace out of pretzels or toss inflatable pretzels in a game of skill.Adults had no lack of entertainment, with several bands, including Fitz & the Pretzel Twist and The Chancers, playing throughout the afternoon and evening.
