The community of Parkland, Florida, has gathered to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the murder of 14 students and three staff members at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
. Overall, since Parkland there have been at least 11 shootings at U.S. schools were multiple victims died.

“That was a bitter pill when that happened, and all I can say is we’re doing something about it,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said Tuesday during a news conference in Jacksonville.
