Northern California is bracing for more downpours, with 5 million people still impacted by flood alerts.

Santa Cruz County has been told to brace for between 3 to 6 inches of rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to Hart. "We just don't know where the next debris flow or mudslide is going to happen," the sheriff said."But we have people in position in different communities to help out. So we're ready, we'll take on whatever comes our way."
