Asbury United Methodist Church was the drop-off site for animal food donations for the heavily damaged Pasadena Animal shelter that is a few miles away.Members of Asbury United Methodist Church believe they were blessed that the Pasadena tornado that struck the area on Jan. 24 caused no damage to their building.

"During that call, we volunteered to be a drop-off location for donations," said Diana Choma, the church's office manager."We had people who brought crates, bedding, food, treats — anything for these animals. Some of this will also go to the organizations that took in the animals."
