The man, who had been in the hospital for about six months, was found unresponsive about 6:14 a.m. on the ground outsideHe was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Belleville police Detective Lt. John McAloon. McAloon said the incident occurred on a floor of the hospital designated for long-term care, but detectives on Wednesday were unsure why the man had been admitted to the facility.
