A woman in Kentucky won nearly $146,000 after making a $20 wager in the online Bank Buster Jackpot — and now she's paying it forward.

Crystal Dunn said she was in disbelief upon winning the $146,351, but once lottery officials contacted her, she knew it was real, according to Gray News."It’s a pretty exciting feeling. I never thought I would win something like this, but this goes to show it can happen," she said. After taxes, Dunn received $103,909.73. She promptly headed to a local grocery store and reportedly purchased $2,000 worth of gift cards.

She then began gifting the cards to strangers in the store."A few were taken back, thinking I was wanting something in return,” she said. Dunn told lottery officials that she wanted to pay it forward. “I’ve worked hard for everything I’ve had. This is a pretty amazing gift,” she explained. The Kentucky lottery said Dunn plans on using the remainder of her winnings to pay off her bills and buy a car.
