UPDATE: PCSD has confirmed the identity of the individual found at Rose Canyon Lake, and is asking anyone with information to submit tips to 88-CRIME.
Pima County Sheriff's Department has confirmed 23-year-old Malik Brooks was found dead Sunday, April 2 near Rose Canyon Lake off the Catalina Highway.
PCSD says the invesitation is still ongoing, and asks anyone with additional information send tips—which can remain anonymous—to 911 or 88-CRIME. Tips to 88-CRIME can also be texted to the same number, or sent online at 88crime.org.According to deputies around 6 a.m. on April 2, 2023, they responded to reports of a suspicious death off Catalina Highway near Rose Canyon Lake.The investigation is still ongoing and details are limited.
