Four Pearland firefighters were hospitalized after a fire at a home on Thursday caused a wall to collapse, officials say.
Around 11:30 a.m., Pearland firefighters say they responded to a call about a house fire at 18000 Frazier Road. Fire Chief Jack Taylor says the house was vacant at the time.One of the firefighters became trapped after a wall of the home suddenly collapsed, officials report.
Three other firefighters helped him out and all four were taken to Memorial Hermann Medical Center.The firefighter who became trapped under the wall was said to be in surgery but is now in guarded condition with non-life threatening conditions. They are expected to recover, says Chief Taylor.
