San Antonio police said a 59-year-old woman faces charges of intoxication manslaughter after a deadly crash on Wednesday.A woman died Wednesday morning after she was hit by a car while standing on a sidewalk on the Northwest Side.
The woman was on the west side of Oak Hill Road near the intersection with Viva Max Drive shortly after 10:30 a.m. when she was struck by a gray Ford Edge, according to San Antonio police. The Edge had been traveling northbound on Oak Hill when it “veered” across the southbound lanes and off the road, hitting the woman, according to police. The Edge continued moving until it hit a tree, police said.The driver, a 59-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital by EMS, according to police. She faces charges of intoxication manslaughter, police said.
