A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian at a busy South Anchorage parking lot on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Anchorage Police Department.

There are no road closures; police said a drone will be used in their investigation.
This is the second deadly vehicle-pedestrian crash in the area in the last week. On Sunday, about two miles directly south of the site of Wednesday’s crash, a drunk driver struck and killed 30-year-old Brian Pederson., but police later found him.
