The 12-year-old was transported to Hershey Medical Center

A child was struck by a vehicle after running into a roadway on Monday evening. According to Ephrata police in Lancaster County, at around 6:30 p.m., a 12-year-old boy decided to cross the roadway without a crosswalk and failed to yield at a right-of-way for moving vehicles.Upon crossing the road, the boy was struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Ephrata resident. The child was transported to Hershey Medical Center for injuries.
